Q1: Why can it kill bacteria and viruses?

A1: Our patented AOP-KF®️ solid alkali material emits and maintain a constant level of ClO₂ harmless to human and animals. ClO₂ is a necessary condition for in situ regeneration of hydroxyl radicals (·OH). Without heating, ClO₂ causes physical adsorption of water on the surface of a carrier (mesoporous material). In addition to chemical hydrolysis, there is also non-ionized (radical) hydrolysis of chemisorbed water (OH). This phenomenon can be greatly accelerated when a reacting substrate or a chemical catalysis is present. A large amount of active particles (hydroxyl radicals ·OH) are generated. Hydroxyl radicals have high oxidation potential (2.8eV) while also having a high chemical reaction rate constant. As a result, AOP-KF®️ is able to eliminate pollutants much more effectively compared to other competing technologies.

Q3: Is it alkali or acidic ?

A3: Most other products on the market are time-release ClO2 capsules, when slowly released the solution is acidic. Products made from time-release capsules produce ClO2 at a high rate which is harmful for human.
The AOP-KF material is however alkali in nature (not a ClO2 time capsule) and is based on advanced oxidation technology. It realizes in-situ regeneration of hydroxyl radical (•OH) and therefore chlorine dioxide (ClO2), produced at a sustained rate which is completely harmless.
This is the unique difference between AOP-KF and all other products on the market. AOP-KF is the only product in the world utilizing this technology.

Q3: Is it alkali or acidic ?
